Why would I do that when I can go to the trashcan isle at Walmart?

If you go to the dealer with rose tinted glasses do the cars look more appealing?
In all seriousness, they did used to make good and interesting cars. Although, they seemed to have gotten one decade into this century and decided that was enough and decided they should make deplorable rental cars instead.

I used to really like Nissan. I still have a soft spot for them.
I hope they make a Z35 that can really compete in the 2020's. Even the current one isn't bad... it's just a bit heavy and the chassis is a bit lame.

They still make decent engines at least. The VR30 and VR38 are decent enough. They use them in cars with cruddy interiors, but the engine is ok.
T hen there’s the K R20. I’d love that variable compression engine in a new lightweight Z car. Could prove to be a very potent little engine in the right application.
Shame Nissan keeps cutting corners by slightly updating a very old chassis.
They really are the Japanese Mopar.

Personally Im a Honda fan and would argue that after the turn of the century they have only made 2 maybe 3 interesting cars.
Bu t their Zs still compete and Nissan still holds the record for most SCCA Run off wins . So they still have my respect.

You really need separate
payment protection insurance for that giant oversized novelty grill of your BMW. Oh, you just need a trashcan, carry on.”
